This is a short-sleeved shirt called GENERAL PURPOSE SMOCK, used by US military personnel in various situations such as food handlers, inspectors, clerks, and medical staff.
It is made as a smock to protect clothing, so it has a relaxed fit. It has a boxy silhouette with a wide body width and a straightforward pocket on the left chest.
Manufactured by a contractor that has been under contract with the US Department of Defense for over 30 years, it also includes the NSN, a management number assigned to items procured by the US Federal Supply System, under the size notation. The shirt is made of high-quality, mil-spec compliant polycotton poplin fabric, which is breathable and snug. The fabric surface is supple and has a smooth feel, making it sturdy.
The refreshing white color gives a sense of coolness. It is a basic and mature utility shirt that can be worn with the buttons open or enjoyed in an oversized silhouette.
